About This Project

Make a pretty paper balloon that looks like it's floating in the air! Cut and fold paper to create a 3D hot air balloon that you can hang from the ceiling or in a window to watch it 'fly.' This colorful craft combines paper folding skills with watercolor painting to create stunning room decorations. Grown-ups may need to help with cutting and hanging, but kids will love watching their balloon creations float beautifully in their room!

Steps

(Optional) Paint 3 sheets of paper with watercolors

Make watercolor designs on both sides of three sheets of paper. Hang to dry. If you don't want the mess or time commitment of watercolors, you can also use construction paper or white paper that you color with crayons or markers.
