Mix your ingredients

Carefully measure your ingredients into a large mixing bowl. For the baking soda, we prefer the scooping or spooning method. Carefully fill your dry measuring cup, then level it off using the handle of the spoon to measure exactly 1 and 2/3 cup. For the conditioner, use a liquid measuring cup and fill to the 100 mL (milliliter) line. You may need a rubber scraper to get all of the conditioner back out of the measuring cup.
