About This Project

A 5–10 minutes craft for ages 3–10, using supplies you likely already have — Balloons, Tape, and Clothespins.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

    Make Balloon Rocket

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

Heads up! Some supplies may trigger allergies. Check with a grown-up before using them.

    Step 1: Tape to Chair

Tape one side of the string to a chair.

    Step 2: Blow Up Balloon

Blow up your balloon and do not tie the end.

    Step 3: Clothespin the Balloon

Put a clothespin on the end of the balloon to keep the air from coming out.

    Step 4: Tape Straw

Tape a straw onto the balloon.

Step 5: Attach to the String

Lace the string through the straw and tape the other end of sting to another chair. When ready, remove the clothespin and watch the balloon fly across the string!
