Make Bird Nest Craft Activity

Messy Mode

Make the nest with washi tape.

Take your brown and yellow washi tape. Tear off pieces and stick them criss-cross all over the middle of your paper plate. This will make the cozy nest part. If you don't have washi tape, you can cut small strips of brown and yellow paper and glue them down with craft glue instead.

Trim around your nest.

Cut around the outside of your washi tape nest. You can cut it into a perfect circle or make it look like a real nest with bumpy edges.

Add eggs or a chick to your nest.

Now it's time to add little friends to your nest! If you want robin eggs, glue 3 or 4 medium blue pompoms into the center of your nest. If you want a baby chick, take your large yellow pompom. Cut a tiny beak and feet from orange construction paper. Glue the beak and feet onto the yellow pompom. Then, glue two small googly eyes onto your chick. Finally, glue your chick into the center of the nest.
