About This Project

Make your own fireworks out of an unexpected ingredient: watercolor paints! Kids drop watery watercolor paint onto paper, then blow through a straw to push the paint outward into bursty, firework shapes. Every blow makes a different pattern, so the page fills up with surprise splats, streaks, and colorful “sky explosions.” It’s quick to set up, super satisfying to watch, and perfect for New Year’s Eve, summer celebrations, or any day you want a little art magic.
