    Make Blue Whale Paper Bag Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
    "I can't wait to make a project with you!"

    Step 1: Paint the whale body

    May need grown-up help
    Paint the bottom and three sides of the paper bag blue for the whale's body. Paint the last side white for the whale's tummy.

    Step 2: Add the face

    Let the bag dry. Once it's ready, put the white side down on the table. Draw a smile and add your googly eyes.

    Step 3: Stuff the bag

    May need grown-up help
    Stuff the bag with newspaper, old plastic bags, or anything else you have lying around. Secure the bag shut tightly with a string. Fold the end up to look more like a whale's tail. You can even trim it to look like a fluke if you want!

    Step 4: Make the spout

    May need grown-up help
    Use a ruler to draw a 4" square on your blue paper. Then, use your ruler to draw four 3" lines 1/2" a part. Then, draw three more 2" lines 1/2" apart, like in the picture. Ask an adult for help if you don't have much practice drawing straight lines with a ruler. Cut along the black lines. Roll it up like a scroll on a pencil and secure the bottom with tape. Use the pencil again to curl the top of the water down. Secure the water to the top of the whale with tape.

    Clean up

    Put things away so your space is tidy for next time.
