About This Project

A 30–60 minutes craft for ages 6–12, using supplies you likely already have — Glitter, CDs, and White Glue.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

    Make Doughnut Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"Let's stick together and make this one!"

Heads up! Some supplies may trigger allergies. Check with a grown-up before using them.

    Step 1: Paint the CD

Paint the CD brown. If you don't have brown paint, mix red, green, and yellow. Let it dry. We painted the shiny side of the CD.

    Step 2: Make puffy paint

Mix 1 part glue with 1 part shaving cream. Divide the puffy paint and mix in acrylic paint to make different frosting colors.

    Step 3: Paint the doughnut

Paint the puffy paint onto the CD, leaving some of the brown edge showing. If you want the paint to dry puffy, put a lot on the CD.

    Step 4: Add sprinkles

Sprinkle glitter on top of the wet puffy paint. Use the paintbrush to paint on more sprinkles.

Step 5: Play with your doughnut

Pretend to feed the doughnut to your toys or take a bite yourself!
