A 20–30 minutes craft for ages 5–8, using supplies you likely already have — Scissors, Googly Eyes, and Tissue Paper.

    Make Easter Chick Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
    "Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

    Step 1: Make the Chick

    Choose a piece of construction paper in any color you like. In the middle of the paper, use your glue stick to make a circle that is about 5 to 6 inches big. Stick pieces of yellow tissue paper onto the glue to make the body of your chick.

    Step 2: Use the Free Craft Template

    May need grown-up help
    Download and print the egg template. For the best results, print it onto cardstock or white construction paper. Turn the printed template over to the back and cover it with washi tape. You can make a random pattern or an organized design.

    Step 3: Cut Out the Egg

    Once you are done decorating your egg with washi tape, ask an adult for help to cut out the parts of your broken egg.

    Step 4: Put Together Your Easter Craft

    Use the glue stick to attach the parts of your egg to your baby chick craft. Place the top of the egg so it just covers the top of the yellow tissue paper circle, and do the same with the bottom half. Fold a small piece of orange construction paper in half and ask an adult to help you cut a small triangle for the beak. Glue the beak in place. Stick the googly eyes onto your chick. If you prefer, you can use printable paper eyes instead.

    Put things away so your space is tidy for next time.
