About This Project

Make fun and simple Easter egg art using paint and paper. This project uses a Warshak test design to create interesting patterns. You can use this painting technique for other shapes too, like an Easter cross.

Cut out the egg

First, pick the color of construction paper you want for your Easter egg. Fold your piece of construction paper in half. Then, draw a large half egg shape with the straight edge on the folded part. Cut the egg out. If you don't like the shape, you can change it a little. Any oval shape will work. If you are still learning to use scissors, ask an adult to draw over the pencil lines with a dark marker to make it easier to see.
