Make Easy Easter Basket Craft with Squish Paint Eggs

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Cut Out the Paper Easter Egg Crafts

    May need grown-up help
Fold a small piece of paper in half. Cut out a half oval shape to make the egg. If you are learning to cut shapes, ask an adult to go over the pencil mark with a bold marker to make it easier to cut out. Make as many eggs as you want.

Step 2: Decorate the Egg Art and Craft

    May need grown-up help
    1. Place the cut out eggs on the newspaper to protect your work surface. 2. Drip a couple of drops of paint on half of your egg. Pick your favorite Spring colors. Don’t use too much paint. This step can be messy, so be ready for a little bit of mess. 3. Fold each egg in half and press down. 4. Place the eggs aside and allow the paint to dry thoroughly.

Step 3: Build the Easter Basket Craft

    1. Place the large popsicle sticks side by side. 2. Cut a rectangle piece of construction paper (any color). It should be just a little smaller than the 5 large popsicle sticks lined up. 3. Glue the rectangle onto the popsicle sticks to hold them together.

Step 4: Add the Grass and Handle to Your Easter Craft DIY

    1. Use the glue stick to glue the green tissue paper squares to the top of the popsicle stick rectangle so that they hang over. Snip into the tissue paper to make “grass”. 2. Twist the 2 pipe cleaners together and tape each end to the back of the popsicle stick box to form the handle of the basket.

Step 5: Fill the Easy Easter Basket Craft with Eggs

Glue the eggs onto the back of the basket so that they look like they are sitting in the basket.
