About This Project

Have you ever heard the phrase, "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb?" This is an old proverb describing the typical weather in March. Stormy, intense weather is common in early March, but by the end of the month gentler spring weather is usually here. This project celebrates the transition to spring! Make a lion and turn it into a lamb with cotton balls. This is a great craft for toddlers and preschoolers.

Choose a Lion Printable

Pick a lion from the printables. You can choose one to color or a pre-colored one. Print it on cardstock if you have it. If you don't have a printer, draw a lion on light-colored paper. This printable is provided for personal and educational use with permission from our partner, In The Bag Kid's Crafts.
