Make Easy Spring Craft: Easter Duck

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Glue the popsicle sticks to make a triangle.

Take 3 large popsicle sticks and glue them together to make a triangle shape. Let the glue dry completely. You can even do this the night before! You might want to make several of these triangles because we have lots of projects in GlueStick that use this same shape. Search popsicle stick crafts to find them while you wait for them to dry!

Step 2: Paint your triangle yellow.

    May need grown-up help
Put some newspaper down to keep your table clean. Squeeze a little yellow craft paint onto the newspaper, then paint your triangle. Make sure it's all yellow! Let the paint dry completely.

Step 3: Add a yellow paper triangle to your duck.

Place your painted popsicle stick triangle on a piece of yellow construction paper. Use a pencil to trace around the outside of the triangle. Then, draw another triangle inside the one you just drew, making it a little bit smaller. Cut out the smaller triangle. Use your glue stick to put glue on the back of the paper triangle and stick it onto the back of your popsicle stick frame.

Step 4: Give your duck a face and fun accessories.

Now it's time to make your duck special! Cut out the following shapes from colored paper. 1) Fold a small piece of orange paper in half and cut a 'U' shape to make a duck bill that opens. 2) Cut a small half-circle from yellow paper and add a zigzag on top for a fluffy head feather. 3) You can also cut out a bow tie from purple paper or any other fun accessories you like! Use your glue stick to attach all these details to your duck. Don't forget to glue on two googly eyes! Finally, use your markers to draw any extra details you want, like rosy cheeks or patterns on the bow tie.
