About This Project

This Paper Bag Groundhog Puppet is a quick, goofy project that turns a plain lunch bag into a chatty groundhog. Fold, glue, and draw a face, then slide your hand inside to make the groundhog “pop up” and talk. It’s perfect for pretend play, story time, or a Groundhog Day moment.

Cut a strip off the bottom

Use your ruler to measure a 1" strip across the bottom of your bag. Cut in a nice straight line through all the layers of your bag at once. We'll use this strip to make your groundhog's ears.
