    Make Happy Earth Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Get your Earth parts ready.

    May need grown-up help
First, ask a grown-up to help you download and print the Earth craft template. Use the template to cut out two arms, two legs, two boots, two mittens, a smile, and a heart from your colorful construction paper. Choose your favorite colors for each part!

    Step 2: Color your world.

Turn your paper plate over so the bottom faces up. Use your crayons or markers to draw and color the continents (land) and oceans (water) on your Earth. Make it look like our beautiful planet!

Step 3: Give your Earth a happy face.

Take the smile you cut out and glue it onto your colored Earth. Then, glue on two googly eyes. If you don't have googly eyes, you can use paper eyes. You can also draw rosy cheeks or other fun details to make your Earth extra happy!

Step 4: Prepare the arms and legs.

If you want, fold the paper strips for the arms and legs like an accordion. Then, use your glue stick to attach the boots to the bottom of the legs and the mittens to the ends of the arms. You can trim the arms a little shorter than the legs if you like.

Step 5: Put your Earth together.

Turn your paper plate over again. Glue the legs to the bottom of your Earth. Next, glue the arms to the sides of your Earth, pointing them down a little bit.

Step 6: Add a loving touch.

Bring the hands (mittens) to the front of your Earth. Glue each hand to one side of the heart you cut out. Now it looks like your Earth is holding the heart and giving a big hug!
