About This Project

A 30–60 minutes craft for ages 3–10, using supplies you likely already have — Yarn, Hole Punches, and Scissors.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

Make Heart Art with Washi Tape

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

    Step 1: Prepare the heart

    May need grown-up help
    1. Fold a piece of construction paper in half and cut along the fold. 2. Take one of the halves and fold it down the middle. 3. Cut a half heart shape and unfold the paper so that you are left with a heart shaped hole in your paper. Ask an adult for help with the scissors if needed.

Step 2: Add the washi tape

Place strips of washi tape on the half piece of construction paper that does not have the heart cut in it.

Step 3: Alternative for little ones

    May need grown-up help
For little makers, randomly place strips of washi tape instead of lining them up carefully.

    Step 4: Put it together

Glue the heart on top of your washi tape covered paper. Use the glue stick.

Step 5: Lace around the edges

    May need grown-up help
    1. Hole punch around the outside of the project. 2. Cut about a 1 yard piece of white yarn and wrap the end in tape. 3. Lace through the holes, looping around the edge. 4. Trim the yarn and tape down the ends on the back of the project.
