On August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., and gave one of the most important speeches in American history. In his famous "I Have a Dream" speech, he shared his hopes for a future where all people would be treated fairly and live together in peace. More than 250,000 people gathered to hear him speak that day! Dr. King's dreams weren't just for himself - they were dreams for everyone, especially children. He dreamed of a world where all kids could be friends, go to school together, and have the same chances to succeed. He said he dreamed of a day when his own children would "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Today, we're going to be like Dr. King and share our own dreams for making the world better. What do you dream about changing? How do you want to help others? Let's create a beautiful mobile to display our hopes for the future!
