    Make Kitty Gift Bag

    Your creative buddy says:
    "Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

    Step 1: Draw the kitty's ears.

    Draw two ears on the front of your paper bag, about halfway up.

    Step 2: Cut out the ears.

    Ask a grown-up to help you cut along the line you drew for the ears. Then, cut off the extra paper from the sides and back of the bag so that the top is flat everywhere except where the ears are.

    Step 3: Paint your kitty bag.

    May need grown-up help
    Hold a pompom with a clothespin. This is your paintbrush! Put a little bit of each paint color you want to use onto a paper plate. Now, paint your cat! You can make it any color you like. Maybe purple with pink dots, or like a real cat! Just dab the paint on gently. Let the paint dry completely.

    Step 4: Add the kitty's face and fill the bag.

    May need grown-up help
    Cut thin strips of black paper for whiskers. Cut a triangle shape with soft corners from brown paper for the nose. You can use any color you like! Use your glue stick to stick the whiskers and nose onto your cat. Use the wet glue to stick on the wiggly eyes. If needed, ask a grown-up to help you draw a happy mouth on your cat with the black marker. Also, ask a grown-up to help you draw a little curve inside each ear with the black marker. Now, open your kitty bag and put your favorite treats or toys inside!

    Clean up

    Put things away so your space is tidy for next time.
