About This Project

A 5–10 minutes craft for ages 3–10, using supplies you likely already have — Yarn, Beads, and Hole Punches.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

Make Paper Football Craft Snack Pack

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Heads up! Some supplies may trigger allergies. Check with a grown-up before using them.

Step 1: Cut the Football Shapes

Pick a color of construction paper. Cut the paper in half. Put the 2 halves together and fold them in half the long way. Then, cut a half circle to make the football shape. Now you have 2 football shapes that are the same.

    Step 2: Decorate Your Football

Use markers or crayons to decorate your football on the front and back. You can also use paint, but wait for it to dry before you go to the next step.

    Step 3: Add the Filling

The footballs are folded in half the long way. Now, fold them in half the other way. This will make a pocket for the filling. Put glue around the bottom edge of the back football. Put the front football on top and press hard. Wait a minute for the glue to dry. Pick what you want to put inside your football. You can use a snack, crumpled paper, or pony beads. Put the filling inside, but don't put too much. Put glue along the top inside edge to close the football pouch. Press hard.

    Step 4: Alternate Closure (optional)

Use a hole punch to make holes all around the outside edges of the football. Keep the holes close together. Take a piece of yarn and lace it through the holes. Tie a knot at the end. Stop halfway and put in the filling. Then, close it up the rest of the way. Tie another knot at the end and cut off the extra yarn.
