A 30–60 minutes craft for ages 6–10, using supplies you likely already have — Hole Punches, Sharpie Markers, and Staplers.

    Make Paper Fox Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
    "I can't wait to make a project with you!"

    Step 1: Fold and cut the first paper plate

    Take one paper plate. Fold the two sides of the plate at an angle as pictured.

    Step 2: Shape nose and ears

    May need grown-up help
    Snip the two sides of the nose and cut in ears. You can just eyeball this. They do not need to be perfect. To make it easier, first draw the ears with a pencil before cutting.

    Step 3: Staple the nose

    Fold the front tab down and staple in place.

    Step 4: Paint the fox's head

    May need grown-up help
    Put newspaper down to keep your area clean. If you don't have a paint brush, you can make one! Pinch a medium pompom with a clothespin to make a paintbrush. Squeeze some orange paint onto the newspaper. Paint the top part of the fox's head. Let the paint dry completely.

    Step 5: Add the fox's face details

    Once the orange paint is dry, fold the ears up. Use your glue stick to put on the large googly eyes and the black pompom for the nose. Use the black Sharpie marker to draw whiskers and eyebrows on your fox's face.

    Step 6: Make the bottom of the jaw

    Take the second paper plate. Trim about 2 inches off of it. Fold in the sides of this trimmed plate to make a triangle shape. Trim the flaps of the triangle so they fit under the top part of your fox.

    Step 7: Attach the bottom jaw

    Punch holes in the back of each side of the triangle and the fox's head. Use the brads to connect the pieces together so your fox can open and close its mouth like a puppet!

    Clean up

    Put things away so your space is tidy for next time.
