Step 1: Paint the paper plates

May need grown-up help

First, lay out some newspaper to keep your crafting area clean. Pinch a soft pompom with a clothespin to make a special paintbrush. Place two paper plates upside down on the newspaper. Paint the bottoms of both plates gray. If you don't have gray paint, you can mix black and white paint together to make gray. You can even add a tiny bit of red or blue if you want!

Step 2: Cut out bulldog parts

Download and print the bulldog craft templates. Use your scissors to carefully cut out all the different parts for your bulldog from the construction paper. Remember to ask a grown-up for help if you need it with cutting.

Step 3: Attach the paper plates

Once the paint on your plates is dry, cut two small slits in one of the plates to make a tab about two fingers wide. Overlap the two plates by about one finger's width. Use your glue stick to put lots of glue on the tab and stick the plates together. This will be your bulldog's body.

Step 4: Add the bulldog's features

Use your glue stick again to attach the nose piece to the snout piece you cut out. Then, glue the snout and nose onto the head part of your bulldog. Next, glue the legs and tail onto the body of your bulldog.

Step 5: Make the puppy's face

Glue the googly eyes onto your bulldog's face. If you printed paper eyes, glue those on instead. Then, glue each ear in its place. Gently fold each ear down to make them look like a real bulldog's ears.

Step 6: Add fun details

Now it's time to make your bulldog extra special! Use your markers to draw any details you like. You can also cut out little shapes, like a bone or a heart, from construction paper and glue them onto your bulldog. Be creative and have fun!
