Paper Plate Easter Wreath

Make a super fun paper plate Easter wreath! You will decorate cute bunnies or eggs with colorful washi tape. Then, you can put them all together on a painted paper plate ring to make a beautiful wreath for your door or wall!

    Make Paper Plate Easter Wreath

    Your creative buddy says:
    "Let's stick together and make this one!"

    Step 1: Cut out your Easter decorations.

    May need grown-up help
    First, print out the Easter decorations from the provided PDF. Carefully cut out each decoration. You can choose a bunny or an egg. Place your chosen decoration on a paper plate and trace around it. Then, cut out the traced shape. You will need eight decorations to build the wreath.

    Step 2: Decorate your bunnies and eggs with washi tape.

    Pick your favorite pastel washi tape. You can place the tape in lines, stripes, or any pattern you like on your bunnies and eggs, or just tear off small pieces of tape and stick them on randomly. After you put the tape on, trim any extra tape that hangs over the edges of your decorations. Ask an adult for help if needed.

    Step 3: Add tails

    If using the bunny shapes on your wreath, glue on a fluffy pom pom tail.

    Step 4: Make the wreath base and attach your decorations.

    Cut out the center of one 9-inch paper plate. Ask an adult for help if you need it. You want to leave a 2-inch ring. Next, use a hole punch to make 8 pairs of holes around the paper plate ring, making sure they are spaced out evenly.

    Step 5: Paint the wreath base

    May need grown-up help
    Put newspaper down to protect your table. Pinch a medium pompom with a clothespin to make a paintbrush, or just use a standard paint brush. Squeeze a little pink paint onto the newspaper and paint your wreath ring. Let it dry completely.

    Step 6: Attach decorations

    Cut four pipe cleaners in half. Ask an adult for help if needed. You may need to use a wire cutter or extra-strong kitchen scissors. Tape one half of a pipe cleaner onto the back of each decorated bunny or egg. Take the ends of the pipe cleaner and push them through a pair of holes on the wreath. Twist the pipe cleaner ends together on the back to hold your decoration in place. Do this for all eight of your bunnies or eggs.

    Clean up

    Put things away so your space is tidy for next time.
