Lay out some newspaper to limit the painting mess. Place your 2 paper plates on the newspaper, bottom side up. Paint the bottom of each plate brown (or whatever color you like), leaving the top one to two inches unpainted (we’re going to cut this off later). If you don’t want to use paint, you can use crayons or markers instead to color your plates.
