    Make Pigeon Paper Plate Craft

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

    Step 1: Print the Template

    May need grown-up help
    Print the attached pigeon template

Step 2: Paint the paper plate and template pieces.

    May need grown-up help
Paint the paper plate light blue. Paint the large circle (head) and long rectangle (neck) on the template light blue. Paint the beak yellow. Use your finger to make a black dot inside the smaller circle for the eye. Leave the small rectangle white. Let all the pieces dry.

Step 3: Cut out the template pieces and glue them to the paper plate.

    May need grown-up help
Cut out the pieces from the template. Fold the paper plate in half. Glue the head, neck, beak, eye, and white rectangle to the paper plate to make the pigeon's head and body.

    Step 4: Draw a wing

Use the black pen to draw a wing on the paper plate.

Step 5: Add weight to make it stand

Tape a glass gem or other small object to the inside of the paper plate to make it balanced when it sits. If your paper plate doesn’t stay in a V shape, make a tape loop and place it at the smallest point of the V to hold the two sides close together.
