    Make Rainy Day Cloud Mobile

    Your creative buddy says:
    "Let's stick together and make this one!"

    Step 1: Cut Out Your Cloud

    Find two pieces of newspaper. You can use plain newspaper or the comics! Place one piece on top of the other. Use your pencil to draw a big, fluffy cloud shape on the top piece. Cut out the cloud shape, making sure to cut through both pieces of newspaper at the same time.

    Step 2: Staple the Cloud and Add a Hanger

    Put the two newspaper cloud pieces together and staple around the edges of the cloud. Leave the bottom part open so you can stuff it later. Cut a piece of white yarn about 6 inches long and tie it into a loop. Slide the knot of the loop between the two newspaper pieces at the top middle of the cloud and staple it in place. This loop will be for hanging your cloud!

    Step 3: Prepare the Raindrops

    Cut about 10 pieces of white yarn. Make them different lengths, some long and some short. Cut out lots of raindrop shapes from your construction paper. You will need two raindrop shapes for each raindrop you want to make. You can also cut out heart shapes if you like!

    Step 4: Attach Raindrops to Yarn

    Take one piece of yarn. Put glue on one side of a paper raindrop. Lay the yarn on the glue. Then, put another paper raindrop on top, matching the first one. Press them together so the yarn is stuck in the middle. Do this for all your yarn pieces, making sure the raindrops are spaced out and have different colors.

    Step 5: Stuff Your Cloud

    Tear small pieces of newspaper. Crumple them up into little balls. Push these crumpled newspaper pieces into the open bottom of your cloud until it looks nice and puffy!

    Step 6: Add the Raindrop Strings to the Cloud

    Make a small knot at the top of each yarn piece with raindrops. This will help them stay in place. Staple these yarn pieces to the bottom of your puffy cloud. Make sure they hang down nicely. If there are any open spots left at the bottom of the cloud, staple them shut.

    Step 7: Hang Your Mobile

    Find a good spot to hang your beautiful rainy day cloud mobile! Watch it gently move in the breeze.

    Step 8: Decorate Your Cloud (Optional)

    If you want, squeeze a little bit of paint onto a plate. Use a Q-tip to paint a happy message or a fun design on your cloud!
