Turn empty bottles into an exciting bowling game that brings the fun of the bowling alley right to your living room! Set up your pins, grab any ball you have around the house, and see how many strikes you can score. This active indoor game keeps kids moving while teaching them about reusing materials - plus you can experiment with different sized balls and bottles to change up the challenge!
Thoroughly rinse six empty plastic bottles. Tall, skinny soda bottles work well, but you can experiment with any bottles you have. Put an inch or so of water in each bottle. This will act as a bottom weight and make the pins a little harder to knock down. Close the bottles up tightly.
ind a flat space to play. Set up your bottles in a triangle shape - three in the back row, two in the middle, and one in front. Take 10 big steps back - this is your bowling line! Roll your ball and try to knock down as many bottles as you can. Fun Tips: Keep score like real bowling! Each player gets two tries to knock down all the pins. Make it harder by adding more bottles or moving further back. Try different balls to see what works best. If your pins are too hard to knock down, dump out a little water from each of them.
