About This Project

A 10–15 minutes craft for ages 3–10, using supplies you likely already have — Glitter, Beads, and Hole Punches.

GlueStick supports kids from setup to cleanup. After they choose a project, we guide them through gathering the supplies, making it, and cleaning up when they're done. We'll even help them share it safely with trusted family and friends.

Ad-free and kid-safe library — designed by a mom who wants kids to explore and create independently.

    Make Simple Paper Flowers

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Cut out the flower shape

First, take a piece of construction paper. Draw a flower on it. You can make it any shape or size you want, even a simple circle. Ask a grown-up for help if you need it with drawing or cutting. Then, carefully cut out the flower shape you drew.

    Step 2: Decorate your flower

Now it's time to make your flower pretty! Use your markers to draw fun details on your flower. You can add anything else you like to make it special, such as glitter, stickers, or other small decorations.

Step 3: Add the stem and leaves

Cut a very small slit in the very middle of your flower. Take a green pipe cleaner and push it through this slit. Twist the pipe cleaner a little bit on the top and bottom of the flower to hold it in place. If you want, you can add beads or pompoms onto the pipe cleaner. Next, cut some leaf shapes from your green construction paper scraps. Use the hole punch to make a hole in one end of each leaf. Finally, slide the leaves onto the pipe cleaner stem.
