    Make So Pretty Flower Decoration

    Your creative buddy says:
"Are you as excited to make this as I am?"

Step 1: Prepare your colander and petals.

Turn your plastic colander upside down. Pick 1 or 2 flower petals. Place the bottom of the petals over one of the small holes in the middle of the colander. Don't use too many petals for one hole.

Step 2: Poke the petals in

SHARP! Grown-up required May need grown-up help
Ask a grown-up to help you with this step. Take a wooden skewer and gently push the ends of the flower petals down into the hole. Try to push straight down. If you push sideways, the skewer might break. Keep poking petals into the holes until your flower looks full and beautiful. If a skewer breaks through a petal, that's okay! Just make sure the petal stays in place. Before you finish, gently pull on each petal to make sure it is snug. If any come out, just put new ones in.

Step 3: Display your beautiful flower.

Your flower is delicate because the petals are not glued. Find a special place to hang your flower decoration so it won't get bumped, and the petals will stay in place. Now you have a pretty flower decoration!
