    Make Tin Can Love Bug

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

Heads up! Some supplies may trigger allergies. Check with a grown-up before using them.

Step 1: Wrap the tin can with black paper.

Measure your tin can. Cut out a piece of black paper that fits around the can. Wrap the paper around the tin can and use glue or tape to hold it in place.

    Step 2: Add red stripes.

Cut out two strips of red paper. Wrap each strip around the tin can, spacing them apart. Use glue or tape to hold them in place.

    Step 3: Add wings.

Cut out wings from any color of paper. Secure them to the back of the can with glue or tape.

Step 4: Decorate your love bug!

Use glue to add googly eyes to the front of the can. Attach a pipe cleaner to the top of the can for antennas. You can use a stapler to connect hearts to the top of the pipe cleaners, or glue two hearts together at the top of each antenna.

    Step 5: Fill with treats!

To use your love bug as a Valentine's Day treat holder, stuff the bottom with tissue paper. This will make the treats easier to reach.
