About This Project

Here's a great 3D paper pumpkin for fall that kids can craft with very little help! Using just a few sheets of orange construction paper and a green pipe cleaner, children can create beautiful dimensional pumpkins perfect for autumn decorating. This simple yet impressive craft develops fine motor skills while celebrating the fall season. Great for classroom activities, home decorating, or Halloween preparations!

Steps

Create your first pumpkin slice

Each pumpkin “slice” is made from folded construction paper, just like a paper heart. To make your first slice, fold your paper in quarters. Draw the upper part of a heart (see photo) lightly in pencil. For best results use the bottom edge of the paper as the bottom of your pumpkin slice — this will keep your whole pumpkin nice and flat.
