Make Minion Popcorn Treat on a Stick

    Your creative buddy says:
"I can't wait to make a project with you!"

Heads up! Some supplies may trigger allergies. Check with a grown-up before using them.

    Step 1: Pop the popcorn

Pop the popcorn according to the directions on the package. You will need 1 1/2 cups of popped popcorn for this project.

    Step 2: Make yellow popcorn

HOT! Grown-up required May need grown-up help
Ask a grown-up to help you put about 1/2 cup of marshmallows into a microwave-safe bowl. Ask your grown-up to heat the marshmallows in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until they are melted and runny, but not bubbly. Add some yellow food coloring to the melted marshmallows and stir it in. Then, add 1 cup of popped popcorn and stir it all together. The marshmallows will be very sticky, so ask your grown-up for help with stirring.

    Step 3: Make blue popcorn

HOT! Grown-up required May need grown-up help
Ask a grown-up to help you put about 1/4 cup of marshmallows into another microwave-safe bowl. Ask your grown-up to heat the marshmallows in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until they are melted. Add some blue food coloring to the melted marshmallows and stir it in. Then, add 1/2 cup of popped popcorn and stir it all together. Remember to ask your grown-up for help with stirring because it will be sticky.

Step 4: Fill the popsicle molds with yellow popcorn

Spray your popsicle molds with nonstick spray. Use a spoon to fill each popsicle mold about 3/4 of the way full with the yellow popcorn. Press the popcorn down firmly so it sticks together.

Step 5: Add blue popcorn for suspenders

Fill the rest of each popsicle mold (the last 1/4) with the blue popcorn. This will look like the Minion's suspenders! Remember to press the blue popcorn down firmly with your spoon.

Step 6: Add popsicle sticks and chill

Gently push a popsicle stick handle into each mold. Put the molds in the fridge until the popcorn treats are cool and firm.

    Step 7: Decorate your Minions

Once the treats are cool, gently take them out of the popsicle molds. Now it's time to decorate your Minions! You can use marshmallows for the eyes. Smash some marshmallows flat for the eyes. Use a rolling pin to flatten the chewy chocolate candy. Then, you can cut or mold pieces of the chocolate candy to make smiles, goggle straps, and parts of the eyes. Ask a grown-up for help if you need to cut the chocolate candy.
