Pipe Cleaner Star Bubble Wands are a fun, no-boom way to celebrate—perfect for New Year’s Eve, birthdays, backyard play, or anytime you want a little “sparkle” without fireworks. Kids twist a fuzzy pipe cleaner into a star, add colorful beads for a comfy handle, then dip and wave to make a sky full of bubbles. It’s quick to make, easy to customize, and feels like holding your own magic wand
Steps
Make the star
Bend one pipecleaner around the star cookie cutter to give it a star shape.
Twist star together
Twist the two ends of the star-shaped pipe cleaner together
Attach the handle
Bend the second pipecleaner in half. Then, twist it together onto the free ends of the star. Ask an adult for help, if needed.
Bead the handle
Add beads onto the handle.
Loop the end
Make a loop on the end so that beads do not fall off. Make sure to twist it tight.
Make the bubble solution
Mix together - 4 cups water - 2-3 tablespoons light corn syrup until combined. Then, slowly stir in the dish soap. Let it rest. The longer you let it rest, the better bubbles it will make. Wait at least 30 minutes if you can, ideally overnight.
